MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR

American Home Lending USA, LLC  is currently expanding our operations. We are interested in expanding our capacity to provide mortgage loans to home buyers, and we are looking for an experienced Mortgage Loan Consultant to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for originating new mortgage loan business by working with Realtors, Builders, past clients, and other referral partners. We encourage all who are qualified and want to work with a dynamic and highly productive team to apply.

Under general supervision, the mortgage loan officer is responsible for originating new mortgage loan business by working with Realtors, Builders, past clients, and other referral partners.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned.

  • Solicit business from potential and existing customers.
  • Interviews loan applicants and processes loan applications for both purchase and refinance transactions.
  • Counsel borrowers about various loan programs and help them to select the program that best fits their financial goals and needs.
  • Assist the loan processor in gathering the necessary documents from the customer to prepare for underwriting.
  • Works closely with the processor and underwriter to address any underwriting issues and get closed.
  • Manages a large pipeline of loans including meeting closing deadlines and submitting loans to processing.
  • Provides and maintains a professional, business-like atmosphere within the organization.
  • Represents the financial institution in public relations activities and community affairs.

Job Specifications

Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job

  • Thorough understanding of all loan programs and closing costs.
  • One (1) year of mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production
  • Have a good understanding of FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional underwriting guidelines for all loan investors.
  • Must be able to meet strict time deadlines and work independently under pressure.
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to follow set guidelines.
  • Possess ability to sell oneself to potential customers and referral partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR

Under general supervision, the Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for the collection of required documentation for the specific loan package and submission of the loan package to Underwriting and satisfying all conditions received from Underwriter.  We are interested in expanding our capacity to provide mortgage loans to home buyers, and we are looking for an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for accurately managing residential loan documentation through our established systems, and reviewing it to ensure it is completed in full and complies with current lending regulations and policies. We encourage all who are qualified and want to work with a dynamic and highly productive team to apply.

Under general supervision, the mortgage loan processor is responsible for the collection of required documentation for the specific loan package and submission of the loan package to Underwriting and satisfying all conditions received from Underwriter.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned.

  • Work directly with the Mortgage Loan Consultant to manage the loan application from initial document signing to closing.
  • Review initial loan approval and work with the borrower to gather appropriate documentation.
  • Collect all required documentation for the loan package.
  • Create a loan submission package for the Underwriting department.
  • Works closely with the Mortgage Loan Consultant and underwriter to address any underwriting issues and get closed.
  • Satisfy all conditions when received from Underwriter.
  • Ensure the Underwriting Approval falls within the established lending guidelines.
  • Manages a large pipeline of loans including meeting closing deadlines.
  • Represents the financial institution in public relations activities and community affairs.
  • Communicate with other professionals, including attorneys, builders, and direct communication with the consumer.

MORTGAGE LOAN PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Responsible for assisting high volume senior Loan Officer. Serves as a second point of contact and handles inquiries from customers, builders, and realtors during the application process and pro‐actively keeps them informed of progress. 

Handles marketing support to increase production volume by preparing and distributing marketing materials & communications. Tracks mortgage loans through closing and answers customer questions regarding status of files and underwriting requirements. May support Loan Officer by attending luncheons, dinners, award ceremonies and special functions. Performs administrative and/or clerical duties in support of the Loan Officer.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must possess good judgment and organization skills, the ability to prioritize, and handle confidential information.
  • Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned.
  • Assists with inputting borrower information.
  • Assists with managing active pipeline.
  • Ensures all documentation is accounted for and properly completed/signed.
  • Documents loan details for processing plan.
  • Communicates with clients as necessary
  • Ensures loan packages are complete before loan closing and all relevant parties have received paperwork necessary to close.
  • Collaborates with loan processor to ensure smooth transition of work.
  • Maintains phone log of calls made and received by the Loan Officer.
  • Performs general clerical/ administrative duties.
